Keep trading when the line goes down, at €45 a month.

A 5G router and an unlimited business SIM, supplied as one package and standing ready for the day the broadband fails. A second route to the internet, on a network that has nothing to do with the line in the ground, so the phones, the card payments and the software carry on.

Why it matters

One connection, and everything on it

Phones, card terminals, email, the booking system, the accounts package, the cameras. Most businesses run all of it over a single line into the building, and it works perfectly until the morning it does not.

An outage is rarely about the internet. It is about the orders you cannot take, the customers who cannot reach you, and a team standing about waiting for a repair date somebody else controls.

An unlimited business SIM

Configured before it ships

One monthly price, one bill

No installation visit

The SIM is unlimited. Most backup products carry a small emergency data allowance, which is exactly the wrong thing to find out about halfway through an outage. There is no allowance here to run out of.

Coverage and speed depend on the mobile network where your premises are.

How it takes over

Two ways this goes, and you will know which is yours

If your network can do it

Business-grade firewalls and routers can be set to fall back to a second connection on their own. Where yours can, the backup takes over without anybody doing anything, and the first you hear of it may be the bill from whoever fixes the line.

If it cannot

It is a manual switch. Somebody moves the business over to the backup router and work carries on. Less elegant than automatic, and still a great deal quicker than waiting on a repair date you do not control.

Either way, you find out first

Tell us what you have on site and we will tell you which of the two applies to you, before you commit to anything. Nobody should discover which kind of backup they bought during an outage.

We ship ready configured units for plug and play. Automatic failover configurations into existing networks will require your IT provider’s input.

Side by side

The morning the line fails

Nothing here is hypothetical. It is the same list every time, and the only variable is whether there was a second connection standing ready.

How it goes

Two business days to a backup standing ready

No installation visit, and nothing for you to configure.
A clock face
1 Day one

You tell us what is on site

What the connection carries, and what your router or firewall can already do.

2 Day one

The unit ships

Configured for your account before it leaves us.

3 Day two

Plug it in

It arrives ready. Power it on and the second connection is standing by.

4 Arranged separately

Automatic switchover

Where your network supports it, configured into your existing setup with your IT provider.

The two days covers getting the unit to you, which has to happen either way. A backup you switch to by hand is working the moment it is plugged in; automatic failover into an existing network is a separate piece of work and needs your IT provider’s input.

Tell us what your business runs on its connection. We will tell you what stops if it fails.

What it costs

What you pay, and when

One figure covers the router rental and the connection. Billing runs monthly and in arrears, on the same cycle as anything else you take from us.

This price requires a twelve-month commitment.

€45a month

Twelve-month term, router rental included. All prices exclude VAT.

Questions we are asked

How it works
Does it switch over automatically?
It depends on your own network equipment. Business-grade firewalls and routers can usually be configured to fail over to a second connection by themselves, and where yours can, the backup takes over without anyone doing anything. Where it cannot, it is a manual switch. Tell us what you have on site and we will tell you which applies to you before you commit.
Do you come on site to set it up?
No. The router arrives configured for your account, ready to power on. Anything that needs hands on your own network is yours or your IT provider’s to do.
What if the router stops working?
Raise it with our support team and we will diagnose it remotely first, the connection and the router both. If the unit itself is at fault we ship a replacement at no charge.
Will our phones keep working?
If you run your phones with us, calls travel over whatever internet connection is carrying your traffic, so they carry on while the backup is up. That is the case for taking both from one supplier rather than two.
What you are signing up to
How much data is on the SIM?
It is unlimited. Most backup products carry a small emergency allowance, which is exactly the wrong thing to discover halfway through an outage. There is no allowance here to run out of.
Do we own the router?
No. It is rented, and belongs to Telecom Stack. It comes back to us at the end of the term. While it is with you, loss or damage outside normal use is charged at replacement cost.
Can we use it as our main connection instead of broadband?
That is a different product. Mobile 5G and LTE as a primary connection sits under Business Broadband.
How quickly can it be in place?
Once the order is placed the router is configured and shipped. We will give you a date rather than an estimate when we know what you are ordering.
